I am a theatre artist based in Dublin, working between the US, UK and Ireland.
I’m director of Murmuration. We’re a group of artists making big-hearted headphone shows in public spaces, like cafes, squares, galleries and foyers. Our work is intimate and innovative and invites audiences to listen closely and become alive to their surroundings. We have shared our work with audiences in Dublin, Drogheda, Toronto, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. We are a resident company at the Project Arts Centre in Dublin, 2024 - 2027.
My other directing work includes new writing like the forthcoming world premiere of Static by Jimmy McAleavey (Abbey Theatre, 2025), Oh My Pain, My Beautiful Pain! by Evie Fehilly (Pleasance Theatre, London), Emergency, The Cyclone Kid by Sam Ford (Bewley’s) and a new adaptation of The Overcoat (Omnibus Theatre, London). My work as playwright includes a number of co-written shows with Murmuration, as well as side-walks, somewhere in the Future Dark (Solas Nua) and ERIS (Bunker Theatre, London, 2018; staged reading at the Irish Rep, New York, 2023; published by Methuen).
Assistant or Associate credits include 0800 Cupid, Conversations After Sex (thisispopbaby), Audrey or Sorrow, The Quare Fellow (Abbey Theatre), La Traviata, Faust, Maria Stuarda (Irish National Opera) , The Children, Queen of Basel, Kings and If I Forget (Studio Theatre, Washington D.C.).
I am currently one of Six in the Attic at the Irish Theatre Institute, and am a company member of Solas Nua. I was a 2024 Associate Artist with THISISPOPBABY and was a Resident Director at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin last year. I was listed among the Irish Times’ 50 People to Watch in Ireland in 2021. I hold an MA in 'Text and Performance' from RADA and Birkbeck, and a BA in English from the University of Cambridge.
